Since 1983 Kentrel Corporation has worked closely with the Northeast Division of Pennsylvania Gas and Water Co. (PGW) and since 1995 with Pennsylvania American Water Co. (PAWC) in a support capacity.

Kentrel Corporation was founded in 1979. We provide customer support and client services to municipalities, industry, and organizations by specializing in and providing professional services for the water industry. Our work includes all residential, commercial, and industrial sectors of business. We provide technical assistance and service in the design and installation of water meters, and water service lines. Kentrel is also expert in conducting and remediating backflow and cross-connection problems. In addition, Kentrel is experienced in the design and installation of irrigation (water sprinkler) systems.

Kentrel Corporation has experience in the selection and installation of water meters and water distribution systems. We have installed over 300,000 water meters, from basic digital meters to radio frequency meters. We offer large (3" to 10") meter on site testing and evaluation, meter replacement, meter vault revitalization, and control valve installation. We also installed 100’s of miles of residential, commercial, and industrial water service lines.

Kentrel Corporation and its technicians are licensed and certified backflow prevention and cross-connection specialists and certified by New England Water following EPA Protocols. Backflow prevention is required to assure safe water for drinking, bathing, and cooking. Safe drinking water is federally mandated and regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency. Extremely dangerous situations continue to occur when backflow of contaminants are inadvertently allowed to enter our safe drinking water supplies! Backflow prevention is a long-term investment with ongoing requirements and all-industry professionals, such as Kentrel Corporation, are held to the highest standards and levels of responsibility necessary to protect that investment.

Another phase of Kentrel Corporation is the sale and installation of irrigation (water sprinkler) systems. We irrigate backyards to sports fields and everything in between using the most sophisticated supplies and equipment.
